私の家族は七人です。父はとあおいシャツをきていてめがねをかけている人です。父はゴルフを大好きので、毎週ゴルフをします。母はながいかみあかいシャツをきている人です。私は母がりょうりをするのじょうすとおもあいます。弟一人は一番みぎにマルーンシャツをきている人です。おとうとは十五歳です。クルーとビデオゲームを大好きです。弟一人はみじかいかみきいろシャツをきている人です。サッカーをして、演技をします。妹一人はながいかみ紫のシャツをきている人です。妹はアニメを大好きから、私は妹とよく見ます。妹一人はみじかいかみピンクシャツをきている人です。妹はせがちさい。とてもおかしいとかわいいです。

JPN102 PE Goals and Activities

It's hard to believe that it is already the second semester. My overall goal by the end of this semester is to be able to hold casual conversations, speaking relatively naturally.

Goals:
Pronunciation - to sound more fluent and natural when speaking
Speed - be able to speak and understand at a faster pace
Intonation - correctly use sentence and word pitch when speaking

Activities:
- Go to the language table at least once a month, given my other commitments
- Go to office hours at least once a month to correct my pronunciation
- Do at least 1 shadowing/book exercise every other week
- Watch anime episode or listen to music in Japanese and practice speaking along with the dialogue/lyrics at least 3 times a week

私の好きなレストラン

私はたいていバトラーのダイニングホールでたべるので、あまりレストランにいきません。でも、私の好きなレストランはオリーブガーデンです。私のかぞくをイタリアりょうりを好きです。まいねん私と私のいもうとのたんじょうびにわたしたちはそこにいきます。オリーブガーデンのサラダとパンはいいです。私はフェッタチ二アルフレドをだい好きです。私のいもうとはスパゲッティとデザートのチョコレートをちゅうもん。オリーブガーデンのたべものとメモリはすばらしいです。

Reflections

While this semester has flown by, I feel like I have learned much more than I ever expected to. 

Goals:

Speed - I am now able to understand and speak Japanese much more quickly, though I still have room for improvement

Pronunciation - Though I still need to work on my fluency, I have greatly improved in this area.

Intonation -This is the area that I feel I most struggle in. I have definitely gotten better since the beginning of the year, but it is my goal to improve even more.

Activities:

I was able to fulfill most of my requirements, the biggest conflict being other time-intensive commitments. 

Final Thoughts:

I feel like my Japanese has improved in all aspects, writing and speaking. While I still have a long way to go in learning Japanese, I have enjoyed the class immensely and can't wait for next semester!

フロリダのオランドに私のうちにチンチッラが二ひきといぬがいます。いぬのなまえはポーラリスです。それはチヌークです。私のいぬはおおきて、きんとしろです。ポーラリスはおもしろいて、かわいいです。人をすきですでも、ちんちっらやねこをきらいです。

チンチッラのなまえはジッミとクルンチです。それはちさいて、はいいろです。チンチッラはにんじんともくざいをたべるのがすきです。
